I am not there yet (Short Story)

It was during the peak of Indian freedom movement.

Gandhi ji was going to address a gathering of thousands of people.

As he walked towards the stage, to speak, a British reporter reached out to him and asked “What are you going to talk about today?” Gandhi Ji, stopped for a moment, looked at him and with a smile replied “I am not there yet” Journal Notes: I personally like this incident very much as it reflects Gandhi Ji’s faith in ever changing present moment. Moment to moment he always tried to be very present, trusting his intuition and inner voice. Trusting that we are all a medium to allow what needs to be manifested through us. There’s also a Sufi saying “when ‘I’ am not there, ‘He’ is there in me.
