नानक जी का आशीर्वाद
गुरु नानक देव जी अपने शिष्यों के साथ एक गांव पहुंचे। उस गांव के लोग एक-दूसरे से दुर्व्यवहार करते थे। गांव के लोगों ने नानक जी के साथ ही बुरा बर्ताव किया। उनकी हंसी भी उड़ाने लगे। गुरु जी ने गांव वालों को दुर्व्यवहार ना करने के लिए समझाने की कोशिश की, लेकिन उन पर कोई असर नहीं हुआ। जब गुरु जी वहां से जाने लगे तो उन्होंने लोगों को आशीर्वाद दिया, ‘एक साथ एक जगह पर रहो।
’नानक आगे एक दूसरे गांव पहुंचे। वहां के लोगों ने गुरु जी की खूब सेवा की। जब गुरु जी के गांव छोड़ने का वक्त आया तब नानक जी ने आशीर्वाद में कहा, ‘तुम सब उजड़ जाओ।’
उनके शिष्य हैरान रह गए। शिष्यों ने गुरु जी से सवाल किया, तब उन्होंने कहा- ‘एक बात हमेशा ध्यान रखो– सज्जन व्यक्ति जहां भी जाता है, वो अपने साथ सज्जनता और अच्छाई लेकर जाता है। वो जहां भी रहेगा, अपने चारों ओर प्रेम और सद्भाव का वातावरण बनाकर रखेगा। इसलिए मैंने सज्जन लोगों से भरे गांव के लोगों को उजड़ जाने को कहा, ताकि वो जहां भी जाएं प्रेम का वातारण बनाकर रहें।’

Blessing of Nanak (Translation)
Guru Nanak Dev Ji reached a village with his disciples. The people of that village used to abuse each other. The people of the village behaved badly with Nanak. They laughed at him, hungry and tired they had to sleep outside in open. Next morning while leaving the village, he blessed the villagers, ‘May you always stay together in one place’.
Nanak proceeded to another village ahead. The people there served him with tremendous love and hospitality. When it was time to leave the village, Nanak said in the blessing, ‘May you all get scattered.’
His disciples were surprised and asked Nanak why he gave such different blessings to each village.
Nanak told them – wherever a noble person goes, he takes gentleness and goodness with him. Wherever he will be, he will create an environment of love and harmony around him. That’s why I asked the people of the village full of noble people to get scattered, so that wherever they go, stay in love.

‘When the winds of change will scatter you, have faith my friend..know that you will Blossom where ever planted.’
In these changing times the new Sangha (community) will not be of a group of people working together in one place, but it will be of friends working wherever they are, scattered, without a name, label or a organisation, a community of hearts. coming together and then getting scattered, just like a beating heart, expanding and contracting, as if each breath saying ‘welcome home’.
