Love (Short Story)

A disciple came up to his master one day, and in a burst of emotion, He exclaimed, “My Master, I love you!”

The Master, deep in thought, looked at his disciple and asked him, “My son, do you know what hurts me?”

Perplexed and shocked, the disciple tried to regain his composure and replied, “Master, I am trying to profess my love for you and you ask me this question?”

“My son, please understand, My question is neither puzzling not irrelevant, for if you are unaware of what hurts me, how can you truly love me?”
